Insurance companies offer discounts upwards of 20% to homeowners who own security systems.
Why won't these same companies give a discount for...
-
Good Neighbors Right now you are reading this, -you are not watching your neighbors home. Your neighbor goes on vacation, when you are in the shower, you are not watching your neighbors home, and your neighbor isn't watching yours. If you can see a fire in your neighbors home, it's too late. The fire is well under way. Insurance companies are aware that Neighborhood Watch is statistically ineffective.
-
Dogs How can an animal get out of a house during a fire? Too often dogs become helpless victims of fire or are maced, and even shot by burglars. Dogs are pets who need protection too.
-
Smoke Detectors If you aren't home to hear the smoke detector, you will lose your home and everything in it during a fire. Again, if your neighbors can see that you have a fire, it's too late. Fire doubles in size every 20 seconds. Only a fast Monitoring Network can save your home in a fire. Fire is a dangerous thing, but smoke and heat inhalation is the real killer. And once that happens, nobody can contact the authorities. In a fire, it is your job to get the family out of the house immediatly, and let our system contact the Fire Department!
-
Guns What purpose will a gun serve in a house fire? You can't shoot out a fire. Additionally, guns are a favorite item for burglars to steal. Do you have any idea how much money an untracable weapon will bring in on the street?
-
Locks A determined burglar will not be detered by a lock. Unfortunatley, locks just keep honest people honest. Again, what good are locks in a fire or a medical emergency.
-
Good Areas Well guess what, burglars are attracted to good areas because that's where the good things are, and fire doesn't discriminate. It can happen anywhere at anytime. Murphy's law.
Security Systems reduce claims like no other form of protection!
